Last Monday the Lawrence County CEO class visited the Lawrence Allison Fire Department. Mr. Fisher, Chief Powell and Mr. Scherer spoke to the class about the history of the department and the many hours of training our volunteer firefighters complete. Their training provides them with life saving and property saving techniques and ways to keep them and their fellow firefighters safe when responding to calls. Mr. Fisher spoke about their low response times and how this can save lives and property. In fact as we were visiting and they were called to assist with a call. Thank you to each of the many volunteer firefighters for putting your lives on the line to save lives and property.
