Sunrise Coal is Indiana’s third largest coal producer. They operate at the Oaktown complex in Knox County, the business is focused on safety and efficiency. The safety of the mind isn’t just a priority but a core value, not only to their employees but for the grounds as well.
Most people don’t know much about Sunrise Coal like the fact that they pay attention to the non-disruption of grounds. From rivers, farm grounds, and other properties Sunrise does not impact or harm the surface level of grounds in any way, meaning that you can tend to it the same. Sunrise uses a room-and-pillar mining, which is the safest and most environmentally responsible way.
Sunrise being a bigger company, people would think that they support other corporates, but in reality they support as much local and small businesses as they can. They like to sponsor and donate to good causes, such as CEO. Sunrise is also a very freeing, friendly, family-like work environment. Although they have those rules and regulations they don’t make the work life intolerable. Every employee is trained and has safety equipment for not only themselves but everyone around or above them.
