Dorney’s Pumpkin Patch hosted the Lawrence County CEO class last Thursday. Kim Dorney shared why she decided to start her business. She said in the beginning she hoped to make enough for a nice family vacation. Over the years her business has grown to include a larger retail area, many group tours and lots of family fun events. Kim shared it takes lots of hard work. There are many days she puts in 12+ hours. Planting time takes a lot of time and energy. Mother Nature can be a friend or some years has caused concern. Many of the class work for Kim helping with tours etc. Dorney’s Pumpkin Patch is a great asset to Lawrence County. Thank you Kim for allowing us to visit.
